The AUNT Follow Up
Dinner:
mashed potatoes
corn
pickles, olives, carrots
home-made bread
I had a little of everything, except mashed. I just wasn't in the mood. I opted for 1/2 piece of bread (dry). I never liked fresh bread w/butter-margarine, so that's fine w/me.
In case you're wondering -- I sent the bread, cookies AND the fudge home w/the AUNTS. I know myself. And proud of the fact that I'm smarter than I look!
We went to the Thrift store looking for Christmas decorations (75% off) and we were NOT disappointed.
My BIG score was a sealed Walk Away The Pounds vhs entitled: The Power Milefor $2.99!
I did watch it -- I didn't DO it, of course... I'm not going to add anything now physically until 1. I'm over this illness and 2. I'm beginning Dance Rehearsals on Sunday, and I'll be learning a TAP routine. I don't want to go to my FIRST rehearsal too sore because I've tried something else 3 days before!
My rule is -- ONE step at a time. I actually switched doc's because of this concept. I don't like it when doc's start you on several NEW medications at the same time. If there's a problem w/them, how do you know which ONE it is? I feel the same way about adding new Physical Challenges.
The video will still be there next week. Let me get thru the first rehearsal and then we'll see how I do physically!
I slept like a BABY last night. Finally. And of course, this was NOT one of the mornings I could enjoy the catch-up sleep and stay in bed.
Breakfast:
cup of coffee
This morning was my doc's visit. It was my monthly check up, the last time I was there was 12/1/04.
Before I left, I got on MY new scale and took note -- so that when I was weighed there, I could see how much of a difference there might be. There actually wasn't any. My scale is difficult to read cause the hash-marks are so small. But, at least I have one! (Thanks MOM!!)
It's official:
That's 80 pounds since May 22, 2004.
I celebrated by buying 1 pair of underwear in size XL!
Lunch:
1/2 cup corn (left-over)
3/4 cup shredded cabbage & sm plumb tomato
1 tablespoon dressing
I love shredded cabbage. I don't know, there's something about the texture I like better than lettuce. I guess I was in the mood and that's okay... cabbage is pretty much a FREE food for me!
The doc gave me some anti-biotic and other stuff I've got to pick up from the pharmacy later this afternoon. I'm actually still kinda tired, so I think I'm just going to take the rest of the afternoon and do 'restful' things.
